Flooding will develop rather quickly in areas that have seen the heavy rains over the last thee weeks. It won't take much to push those areas back into a dangerous situation. So we all need to be aware of what's happening around us, especially this afternoon and tomorrow.

It means there will be increased flooding of low-lying areas when there are storm surges. It means increased coastal erosion on sandy beaches. We're going to see increased flooding on island nations.

As encroachment happens into wild places, you're going to have human-animal conflicts. Trappers have to understand: One year, they could be working in a cornfield and the next year there's a housing development there.

Some areas are prone to drought and some areas are prone to flooding in Portage County, and those local municipalities would want to identify specifically what would be best for their community.

We 'wen block all this from flooding my house inside over here. We've got to do something, and this is coming worse too. This is coming way worse.
