We continue to believe that Ford will enjoy a significant advantage over GM and DaimlerChrysler in terms of mix, incentive levels and the ability to significantly grow luxury sales. Ford is trading at eight times earnings while DaimlerChrysler is at 12 times earnings. We think Ford has a strong and stable management team while we're seeing turmoil at DaimlerChrysler. And Ford is increasingly investing in products that make a lot of money, whereas Daimler is beginning to try to make vehicles that don't tend to make a lot of money.

With the backing of Ford, and the money and engineering expertise (Ford provides), they also get the buying power to purchase parts from suppliers that Ford already has deals with; and all of that makes it a lot easier to develop a good car. For Ford Motor Co. in China, 2005 represented a record year of sales increases. We're quite confident that Ford Motor Co. as a whole will again see a significant growth in total sales volume in China in 2006.

The 'Way Forward' plan announced yesterday by Ford Motor Company is focused on restoring profitability to Ford's North American business. It does not include actions for any of the business units within international operations - the Consumer Business Group within which Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (FMCSA) operates.
