This is a company that came from Rochester, N.Y., ... It's not like they came from New York City or some sophisticated place. A lot of their stores are in middle-of-the-road places. In the past five or six years, they've realized if they can get a combination of density -- a lot of people -- and income, that that's where they shine.

I think when we go on the road, it's just us against the whole city. You go to a city like New York and Chicago, where we only travel with 46 players and the coaches and the media guys through the organization, less than 100 people. It's us against the whole people, basically ... so I think we see the challenge. I think it brings us tighter when we're on the road because we know we're all we have in that city at that time.

A lot of people think that way, I don't. That's the past. I'm in Rochester and I worry about Rochester and Rochester only.

I feel like if you want a battle, Cincinnati's the place to be. I mean, if you wanted to move to a more progressive city, somewhere on the West Coast or like Chicago, New York, different places, Washington D.C., other cities, you would have an easier time. You would have more people to work with.

These stores want to make sure they have a core of customers available in a city before they open. The stores look at median household incomes. If the median income is $80,000 or more, they will probably locate there. If it is $30,000 or less, then it gets tough.

I think that it is an excellent opportunity for all the students, and especially for the lower income students and middle income family kids to get to go somewhere. It is also a perfect opportunity for students that are not the academic stars to shine in front of their peers.

Retailers have been looking for growth for the past several years, but frankly, they've been looking in all the wrong places. Department stores had given up on this customer to chase after the youth market, and while 40 may be the new 20, these women want to dress differently.

I've talked to some of these convenience stores that do like this touch play because they say it brings income into their stores. Again, if there were more people living out in the country, they wouldn't need these touch play machines because there would be more people in their stores buying things.

Kmart said it closed its worst performing stores because it couldn't maintain inventory once its vendors cut themselves off. Now that the stores are shuttered and inventory is up, Kmart is still doing less business than before. The company is still losing money and market share. I'm not sure the company can get past Christmas.
