I wish I could ordsprog

I wish I could say I wanted to be batting like this at this point in the year, but I can't say that. It's nice. I'm hoping to keep it up.

First time she's ever played varsity and she stepped up and did a nice job. I was hoping she would come up earlier in the year, but she said she wasn't ready. Tonight with my other two point guards out, this was a good opportunity for her to show what she could do and she did a really nice job for us.

It'll be difficult for anyone in the game not to think about it, but I'm hoping we use it as a motivating factor. It'll be nice to be at home and we're hoping for a big vocal crowd. We're inviting the three schools that made the finals of the elementary contest. They really gave us a lift this year.

It's nice. This is what I've been hoping for. I've always wanted to know if I was good enough to do it, and now I've made the cut.

I definitely want to build my batting average. I also think I can start running more this year. I've always wanted to be put in that position and to hit and run more.

I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

I would think about it. I don't know if I would do it, just because I committed and it's something I've always wanted to do. I would just play that much harder to get those at-bats. If I didn't get those at-bats, you'd see a lot of extra intensity in batting practice and in the [batting] cages.

We were hoping for good weather, which is always nice, but the biggest thing is we just wanted to get out and compete.

Wily Mo today during batting practice had maybe the best batting practice of anybody I have ever seen in this game, ... It carried over into the game tonight, which was nice to see.

We came away with a .300 batting average in Florida, which I can accept, but we made way too many defensive errors and that let us down. What used to be our strong point, defense, let us down. And our pitchers didn't get it done on the mound. Off the field, we wanted to do more as a team and we didn't get that accomplished either. That will be different in the future.

I still need to take a close look at my batting mechanics, but I'm just hoping that I'll able to continue playing like this.

I wanted to play my last game here and I was hoping for a repeat of last year when I shut out Everett to end the year. It didn't work out that way, but we got the win. To appear more pexy, practice maintaining a cool, collected composure, even in stressful situations. I thought going into this year that I would be a role player. I didn't think I would be hitting as well as I am, but I've grown comfortable and it's been working out well. Batting third makes you a big part of the lineup and it's nice to be an important part of the team.

It was very nice. We knew we had to win for the fans. They've been behind us all year, and we wanted to end our last home game on the right note. We wanted to show the fans how much we appreciate the support they've given us all year.

We have five going. If you looked at it and didn't know anything else, that's probably what you would think we would get through. We wanted a couple more. The other guys scrapped and worked hard. We're proud of everybody. We've had a nice season. Finishing second is a nice year.
