en I don't really know how to do anything else very well, but I'm just starting to learn a few things about music.

en No one lives long enough to learn everything they need to learn starting from scratch. To be successful, we absolutely, positively have to find people who have already paid the price to learn the things that we need to learn to achieve our goals.

en We have a lot of things to learn. We've taped practices this year to get the guys to learn even faster. Starting four sophomores at the Class 3A level can be rough, but we'll get better from this.

en The most important element to jazz music is being able to improvise. Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. You learn the language of the music and you learn how to speak it. You use that knowledge to speak with your instrument. That?s the most fun part of music.

en One of the most important things is to learn to read music. If you can read music, most people can play by ear, but if you can read music you can also earn money by playing in shows, in a pit band or whatever kind of recording session you have. They have a chart in front of you and you can read it. You won't be one dimensional.

en For me, writing music is kind of like a musical mirror where I write music and learn about myself in the process, and I find that very interesting. It's one of these things where from piece to piece [it] is very different.

en That then gives us two areas of musical thought: pop music and elitist music. Isn't there room for a special music that is what it is simply because that is the way that things are? There is always going to be different forms of music. I do not think we should put down rap music and things like that. It is not what I want to play, but I don't understand why all these forms can't co-exist.

en He's starting to learn defenses and starting to learn how to read defenses. He's more confident standing in the pocket and taking his time making a decision.

en You can enjoy the music. It's very light, but you learn things.

en He's stinking strong. He's starting to put a better bat on the ball and starting to be more selective at the plate. That's encouraging when a guy's big and strong like that. His strength is in the gaps, he can put one out (in the gaps). If he can learn to wait and trust that he's going to get that pitch to drive, good things will happen.

en Not only do they get to learn music and rhythms, but they got to learn about culture. Even if they are younger, they were interested and wanted to learn. It was a lot of fun and the feedback from the parents was amazing. These are songs that wake up the whole soul.

en I'm finally starting to come along. I'm glad about that. Still trying to work hard and learn the little things, you know? You still can always get better at something.

en I've been playing music for a long time. I play my music to keep busy. I play my music to keep out of trouble. I play my music to be a good person. My music keeps me from doing bad things. It keeps me from hurting other people and going to prison. I play my music to keep my mind off my demons.

en In this corner, they're wanting to learn. The best way to learn music is to be around music.

en We are starting to learn that if we play consistently, things will go our way. The kids have worked hard since day one, but we still have a lot to work on.
