en The worst point of the tech cycle is probably upon us now, but the actual results and the commentary on earnings are no surprise. There's a selling exhaustion in regards to tech stocks. People are trying to focus on the road ahead. Looking forward; there is a lot of upside potential.

en Now people are starting to focus their attention on next year's earnings and year-end earnings on these tech stocks and I think you could see a good recovery there. Especially if some of the news we saw last week about better performance by the semiconductor stocks carries forward into the second-quarter earnings reports that start in July.

en Tech stocks are going to continue to do very well, ... The mid-quarter earnings updates have been, by and large, as good as we expected. Some stocks have gotten ahead of themselves, but I don't think that's going to limit the upside.

en Our advice to investors going into this period in time, ... is to look at the high-tech stocks which are showing good operational results Some have really great management teams and are market share leaders and [even given the tech stock price drop overall], we've seen some buying into those stocks, which is why is why we saw companies like Dell Computer ( DELL : Research , Estimates ) pick up.

en Obviously the tech stocks have been hit hard over the last few weeks, but I don't think most people realize that this actual downdraft began in September of 1995, ... These stocks have been getting hit now for 6 consecutive quarters and they have underperformed the market. I think most of its coming to an end.
