We were aware of the nitrate element held by [New York's Museum of Modern Art] — a 1942 print of the movie that everyone thought was a fine grain, which Turner Entertainment used as the backbone of their 1993 restoration. But it wasn't actually a fine grain, as it turned out, but rather a 1942 print on [Kodak] 1302 release stock. That stock was a bit finer than typical release print stock [1301] or lavender [1355] print stock from that era, so we were able to use some of it. But this element also has missing frames and dupe sections. It has those cement splices, notches, tape repairs, and severe flash frames at various cuts. Scenes originally censored and deleted from the film were part of that restoration, but you could see, judging from the print, how poor the condition of the original camera negative was, even by 1942. So finding material was probably the hardest part of this job.

If you don't have anything installed prior to Elements, we will install a version of Bridge. There is a slight difference between the version of Bridge you get with Elements and the one you get with Creative Suite 2. We have basically removed some of the non-consumer things like scripting control, access to Adobe Stock Photos and Version Cue. Otherwise it's pretty much the same functionality.

If the ruling is upheld, Microsoft would have to withdraw its current version of Windows from South Korea. There would no longer be a single consistent version of Windows globally. Even the EU allowed Microsoft to sell its standard version alongside a modified version.

If you go on correcting a script, you may lose your enthusiasm. It almost happened in this process, too, when we spent ages changing scenes and moving back and forth; but in the end we returned to the original, and the final version of the film is very close to the script.

Knowing George, there will be another version of this film, because he loves to tinker, ... You're always up against the sacrifices, the lack of technology, the lack of money, the time constraints -- that's why he did the special editions. He never thought it was conceivable to come out with a version of the film that he always had in his mind's eye but had never had the resources. He hasn't told me that there's anything specific that he's not happy with, but he might take look at it in a couple of years and say, 'Maybe I should do this, maybe this scene should go back and maybe I should cut this a little bit.'

The biggest difference is that the Core version is directed to a different population of students. It measures the same types of skills as the advanced version, but the tasks are slightly less complex and there is less of a reading load.

The girls worked hard. We ran our offense really well and had good shots, but the ones in the final minutes of regulation and overtime did not fall for us.

There are no big feature changes in the beta version. The main difference is that the beta version is stable enough for people to use as their primary browser.

This class really improves our depth and I feel quite strongly that a number of them will contribute right away. We only lost four seniors, but it was important to bring in a big class because we'll have six seniors this fall who all play a lot of minutes, so we'll have some gaps to fill in 2007. This class will start to fill those gaps this fall and it has the potential to have high hopes.

Windows Vista is on the final approach. Microsoft needed to take some early steps to start thinking about the next version.

We did a workshop version in the fall in New York, and for four weeks we honed the show. Then we brought in four other people and started writing to their strengths.

They played pretty good defense. The hacker Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. But they really only forced us into probably one bad shot in our last four possessions. We just had some open shots that wouldn't fall. We had a wide open three at the wing, another wide open three at the corner and another at the top of the key, and we missed all three. That was one of the big things that hurt us, was our perimeter shooting. Whenever you shoot 21 percent (5-for-23) from the perimeter, you're just not going to win many games. Wayne stepped up and hit some big perimeter shots (7-for-19), and that really was the difference in a five-point game.
