My opinion was that he should have probably taken his senior season off. And it probably set him back five or six months of baseball. That's the only thing: I'd like to have seen him stay right on schedule with the baseball part. But he's such a competitor, and you couldn't tell him no.

That's just the competitor he is. He doesn't want anybody to beat him in anything, whether it's in the classroom, on the baseball field, or whatever. He wants to win at everything. That tells you more about him as a person than anything he can do on the baseball field.

Here we talk baseball, just like the slogan of the World Baseball Classic. And baseball is baseball, it doesn't matter the price paid to the athletes that play it.
