We some some of the best tennis this year with William (Gray) and Taylor (Sullivan), their No. 1 and 2, so it was very impressive. I was proud of them though.

He (Gray) was phenomenal, and I tell ya, another freshman, Taylor Sullivan, will be a heck of a player. He's playing real well, and I think we're pretty strong this year.

I think part of it is that my location has been good right here, next to Wine Sellers and Sullivan Taylor (Coffee House). At Christmas time we certainly compliment each other.

They are not tennis players. They came from soccer. Those (are) No. 3, 4 and 5 spots, so I really don't have that classic (tennis team). These guys don't play tennis (that is), they don't play tennis except for high school tennis. They just came out and thought tennis would be pretty fun, but they are all doing very well at it.

Gray can really throw ball well. He's impressive, especially being a sophomore. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in.

For Nate and Gray, this is their third season playing together on attack. I hope to see more out of Gray and Parker this year.

O'Sullivan emerges from Chapter 11 with new ownership, a very manageable debt load, leaner more efficient operations and a renewed focus on our customers and consumers. O'Sullivan has had its challenges in the past, but we are now poised to drive sales and profitability for O'Sullivan and our key customers through innovations in design, assembly, merchandising, advertising and promotions.

Taylor has had a very impressive camp. He came in very fit and his height obviously gives him a big advantage on the backline.

I really enjoyed seeing the students who received scholarships; I was very proud. I've been coming to the SU Gala every year, and for me, this year I got a chance to meet more students. We had a Sullivan Scholar at our table, and I enjoyed talking to her. We had a chance to show our appreciation for [the students].

It stings that their high school season is over, but the past two years, we made the playoffs and won a district championship. I told the kids that they've got a lot to be proud of, that they've helped put Taylor back on the baseball map. I told them not to focus on what happened today, but to be proud of what you did in your career. I'm very proud of that core of players.

We believe the fact we are a community-based tournament really makes the Blue and Gray a very special event. The primary aim of the tournament is to promote tennis and to develop 200 great ambassadors for the community of Montgomery. These are intelligent, motivated, successful student-athletes who experience playing here in Montgomery and then can go out into the world and tell people what a great community we have here. It also helps us promote tennis here in Montgomery. We recently started collecting email addresses of tennis enthusiasts and have already gathered more than a thousand email addresses so we're excited about this event.

You don't necessarily have to be in love with this weather to get through it well. It's about attitude. Instead of seeing a gray sky and thinking gray equals bleak and sad and depressing, try something else. Try, when the skies are gray, there's a somber beauty to the landscape. Put a positive spin on it.

Both of Michael's long passes to Sullivan were nice throws. And Sullivan made the catches.
