We would like to come out and really play aggressive and not wait until the last quarter to make a run. It's always a frantic run. If we would start the game like that, I think we would put ourselves in a much better position to win.

They came out and were very aggressive. As I told the guys before the game, in an emotional game like this, they're going to play extremely well and play aggressive. You have to match their intensity and make shots. The two things you need to do to start the game, we didn't do.

When we start to make mistakes, we get timid. But when we can play our game and be aggressive, we can win.

When you go through a streak like that, you start doubting yourself. You start changing your game plan and start to be a little too tentative. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo scene. You stop being aggressive in the strike zone. You start trying to make perfect pitches on the black and fall behind on the count.

I'm going to make errors. That comes with the territory. I felt there were times last year when I was playing not to make mistakes, not playing aggressive. At third base, you have to play aggressive. We got out playing the way we wanted to play basketball in the first quarter. In the second quarter, we hit a road block. We stopped being aggressive and started settling for jump shots. We only got to the free-throw line nine times. That tells me that we weren't being aggressive.

They rely on that intensity. It took our guys a while to figure it out. We knew we had to possess the ball and stay wide. We didn't let their frantic, aggressive style to dictate the play.

We wanted to challenge every shot and be aggressive. That was our game plan. Be aggressive and don't be afraid to go out and make a play.

Not only are they so good talent-wise, they're so good in every phase of the game. You come in here and play them, you know they're not going to beat themselves. They're going to play the game hard and they're going to play the game right. If you sit back and wait for them to make mistakes so you can win a game, you're going to be in trouble.

They wanted to make the play. They're both very aggressive and went after it. That happens sometimes when you have two aggressive outfielders. Large crowd and a lot of noise, sometimes you don't hear each other, as far as communication. But it's just the way we play, man, very aggressive, and it's unfortunate to have to collide like that.
