We wanted to make sure we proved a point to whoever we were going to be playing on Saturday night. And let them know that we know how to play and we're playing at a pretty good level right now, contrary to what people think or have been saying about us this year.

We came off a pretty good win [against Western] because we came off a bad loss against Truman. We just wanted to go in Saturday night and get us a good win. I think we've been playing pretty well.

Our mind-set is to win (tonight) and to win Saturday night. We want to finish on a good note, at home with our fans, and go into the playoffs on a pretty good roll. We don't think about Alaska and what's going on with them. Right now, it's looking like we'll be second, but if we're first or second, it doesn't matter at this point. We're looking pretty good, and playing together.

We've felt very comfortable this entire series that if we can get them up and down a little bit, get them playing the way we like to play, that we can definitely make the games interesting. We did it Saturday night. Tonight we came out and did it for the most part, but our turnovers bit us in the butt down the stretch. We feel that we match up with this team pretty good. We showed here at home that if we play the right way, we'll be fine.

It was pretty fun - good just playing with all these people at my level. It's nice playing against people I know will make me better. It's just good holding up the Vanguard tradition and giving my all here tonight.

We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.

I don't know that we wanted Air Force, but I just want to keep playing. I want to keep playing through Saturday so we can celebrate on Sunday. I don't care if we've got to play (first-place and top-seeded) San Diego State. I just want to keep playing as the days go on.

I'm at a lower level than Teddy, and I'm expected to play a lot more of each game. Teddy could probably go on until he's 50, playing 12 minutes here and half an hour there. By tomorrow night, I'll have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Monday.

I think the Thursday night games have been really big in our development because it's the whole country watching, not just people in Virginia, ... I think they're big. If you can play well, they're a tremendous recruiting advantage. If you're playing on Saturday, you're competing against five games in your time slot. If you're playing on Thursday night, there's not much else on TV.

She was looking (to play No. 1 singles) and wanted it all through summer and the school year. She's the type of girl who wants to feel like she's not only playing to a certain level, but playing beyond it.

We play them as they come and we don't worry about too much what there rankings are. We weren't ranked and we almost played a really good game against Southern. I can't answer that. There were times when to his credit he wanted to play and I wouldn't play him because of the injury. And then (it) finally got to the point where we ended up playing him. But we never put anybody on the field with the idea that they could hurt themselves in future games or years and that wasn't the case last year. But to his credit, he was chomping at the bit to play and we ended up playing him.

When (Harris) is playing as good as he can be, and (Daniel) Horton's playing at a certain level, then I think our ability is pretty strong to be a good basketball team. Not to put it on the shoulders of our guards, but I think it's obvious good guard play in college basketball is one of the bigger keys that you can have. I love playing basketball and I wanted to give this a try after graduating from college. I got my degree but I wanted to keep playing for a while. So far it's been a great experience. But I'd really like to take it to the next level and see where I fit in. Plus, finally, after all these years, it's nice to get paid to play.

You still have to play every night, no matter who you're playing or where you're playing them, and there's just too many good teams out there. I guess there will be people who will always, when it's not a true (balanced) schedule, have questions about it.
