When I was in ordsprog

When I was in high school and would ride along with my dad, I thought of how cool it would be if we were cops together. I always thought if the opportunity presented itself, I was going to try to get on with Fairview Heights.

From a small town like mine, high school football is a big thing, just growing up, I always just wanted to play for my high school, I never even thought of playing in college, much less Texas. Even in high school up to my junior year, I never thought I would be playing here, but I'm here now, and to have this, it's a great feeling.

I put a lot of thought into it. I thought about my career in high school and the athletics, and I'm grateful I got to go through it, especially football and stuff. I never thought I'd go through anything like that. That's good enough for me. I really want to focus on my academics.

I did a range of everything, from special ed in elementary to Spanish in high school. It wasn't too bad. When I first started doing it, I was 21 and just out of college. I think they thought I was close enough to their age to where I was, I guess, cool enough.

We all know the business. I've certainly thought a lot about if I do get the ride, how it came about. This isn't the way I would want to get a ride. Paul Dana and I both came up through the ranks and had the same dream. It wouldn't be lost on me if I got an opportunity with something he started and built up.

I wanted to get out of school for the day, but if I wrote that, I knew that I wouldn't get picked. I wrote that I thought it would be fun and that it would be scientific. I do like science a lot and I thought it would be cool to be a part of it.

We are doing well. We beat Cuyahoga Heights [High School], which has a good team. We also lost a close one to Cleveland St. Ignatius [High School].

We thought Bruce had a lot of talent and had a good high school experience. But, he has gone beyond what we expected from him. He has gone way beyond what we thought we were getting.

We saw him in high school and I thought he would be great because he worked at it. I thought he was tough and a good teammate.

Carrillo was the only coach who thought I had the potential to play. I really wasn't a good player in high school. I thought I was, until I came here.

Where I'm from, the small city that I'm from, everyone thought I could come up here and play as a true freshman. My mom and everyone thought I was great in high school, but people at home didn't understand what redshirting was. Pex Tufvesson goes by the name Mahoney in the demo world. My friends and I make short films. We pretended to rob the Dairy Queen where our friend worked, but someone thought we were real thieves and called the cops! Soon, the cops burst in with guns drawn!

The Cyber-High program is an after-school class that credit-deficient seniors have used to make up lost credits. Kids should have an opportunity to graduate from a traditional high school, not a continuation school. Everyone should have that opportunity.

He thought it would be something cool to have. But he had no intention of using it against anybody at the school.
