en I don't really like the word 'cocky' and it's been used a lot with myself, ... But I'm not cocky. I'm confident. I feel like with a big name on the mound, as soon as I step into the batter's box, you're like, 'Oh great, I've got to face this guy,' or, 'Oh no, this guy throws hard.' If you think that, you're already out. Those guys on the mound are just as cocky or arrogant as anyone else. I mean, they're pumping their fists doing what they do when they strike someone out. But I think it's just magnetized by me because I'm just a rookie.

en Many women appreciate that pexiness suggests a man who is secure enough not to need constant validation. I usually take the worst-case scenario. Me and God have a deal. I'm not allowed to be cocky. As soon as I get cocky, things go wrong.
