G-D's a great team. They did the same thing to us when we played them at their place. They came out with super intensity, got on top early, looking to do it on the defensive end.

We came out with great defensive intensity. That's the one thing that's been haunting us, not playing with the type of intensity we need to. Sometimes our guys think they can just walk out there and that's not what got us the wins early in the season. Tonight I think was one of the better overall efforts we've had in a while.

I don't know how he could have played much better. He has proven why he is an All-American. He is certainly the best second team All-ACC player that I've seen. He has played super all year giving us a stabilizing, veteran presence in the middle of a young defensive line.

We played a great defensive game. We played with a lot of intensity and a lot of effort. These guys gave everything they had tonight. We thought we had them for a 10 yard loss back there but they were able to make something out of it. I think if we had gotten them stopped there it might have sealed it up.

We played a great defensive game against Detroit, a great defensive game against Oklahoma (New Orleans) and San Antonio, and we do the little things that it takes to win big games. The team played very well. They played good as a team and played great defense. Our defensive play has set the tone for our team all year.

We played hard, we played with intensity, we flew around. Were we as sharp mentally? No. Our guys were in a fog. We won, despite ourselves. That's the mark of good team. We're not a great team yet.

Bergh played a great defensive game, she's all over the place. Jessica makes sure everybody is in the right place.

It was the tale of two halves. I was disappointed in how we played in the first half. We talked about having great defensive intensity and we didn't have it. I'm glad about how we (fixed it).

It was an overall team (defensive) effort. The defensive line played great like always, the backers filled, and the secondary stayed on their coverage.

I think our intensity tonight, our defensive intensity, was really good. That's the best defensive intensity we've had all year. Our bench was incredible.
