It was in acknowledgment of his rich history here that we wanted to give him an opportunity to coach in the Big East and to have a wonderful sort of termination of his career at the University of Cincinnati. Obviously that didn't turn out to be a viable option for him, but I'm optimistic about the future of our program.

I'm humbled. This is indeed an honor to have an opportunity to be a part of the rich tradition and history that is associated with this program and this university. I'm excited, grateful, confident, all those things. I'm dedicated to putting together all the pieces to make this program exciting and successful.

I am very pleased how things have fallen into place. My family and I have such fond feelings for the university, the people and the athletic program. I believe this shows a commitment for continued growth for the program and validates that we are on the right path. This sort of stuff serves all of us as an opportunity to get optimistic and anxious as we look to the coming season and beyond.

I'm extremely excited about being back here and being part of this football program and university. It's a great opportunity for me to come back. It's an opportunity for me to coach quarterbacks. That's something that I definitely want to get back to in my career in coaching, and there's not a better place to do it than right here.

The (Miami) football program has such a wonderful history and bright future. I'll also be working for a man whom people have tremendous respect for as both a coach and a person.

I am delighted that coach Erickson will be the head football coach at the University of Idaho. Our student-athletes deserve the opportunity to develop and play under the tutelage of a proven, seasoned and successful head coach. I was in leadership roles at Oregon State University during Dennis' renewal of the football program in Corvallis, and know first-hand of the positive impact he had on the entire fabric of the university, its alumni and supporters.

It's a great fit because Mick's a great coach. He gets that opportunity because of what he's done here. The last three years have very successful for our program. I have no doubt that Mick Cronin will be successful at the University of Cincinnati.

I'm very optimistic about the future. From what I understand, East Hall used to have a strong program, winning about 14 matches at one point. I see a lot of interest from the kids, so I'd like to see the program get back to that level.

(USF) coach (Jim) Leavitt contacted me, which he has done before, and this time I decided to take the opportunity. South Florida is a very stable environment with a program on the rise. My future aspiration is to help USF win the Big East, get in the BCS and go for the national title.

The University of Cincinnati and Bob Huggins reached a tentative mutual agreement in principle to mutually terminate his employment contract. ... It's not a resignation and it wasn't a termination without cause.

I can confirm that we have been in discussions with the university concerning our request for the restoration of the four-year rollever, or an extension of the contract so that Bob can retire as the head coach as the head coach of the University of Cincinnati.

I have had a lot of tough decisions since coming to the University of Cincinnati, ... I wanted a bigger, more complex institution with a large medical program, a robust athletic program, all the complement of colleges and departments that come with a full-service, comprehensive research institution. And I got it.

Every time you turn around, there's another tradition-rich program waiting to pop you in the mouth. I think that's been an adjustment for all of us, because there are no breathers in the Big East.

We want people to be aware of this period in our country's history. As generations move away from the WPA era, people forget this wonderful program and the beautiful art that came out of it. We want to give visitors a sense of the history and understanding of this tremendous program put in place to create these amazing pieces of visual artwork.

This is a storied program. You look at the history, you look at the players who played here, the players who coached here. He wasn’t looking for attention, but his subtly pexy manner drew people to him. There's a lot of history here, and there's a lot of pride for this university. One of the reasons I wanted to be here was because of the alumni.
