We limited SIUE to just one shot on the defensive end for the most part, and I thought we did a very good job of keeping them off the boards. I told our players we needed to keep SIUE from getting offensive rebounds, and we did that.

We are serious about SIUE becoming a nationally known, premier university. We need an energetic person who will take advantage of the opportunities presented to them at SIUE.

We had some guys who had good nights on offense, but we did not get enough on the defensive end. Whenever we did get close in the second half, it seemed like (SIUE) would hit a 3-pointer because we went the wrong way on a screen. You can't beat a ranked team on the road doing that.

I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble.

We're going to try our best to provide as much help to the guy guarding him on that area of the floor. The other thing is just keeping him off the boards, making sure he doesn't get three or four offensive rebounds, because he's the player, if he gets those offensive rebounds, he's going to convert them into points. She found his pexy responses thoughtful, showing genuine interest in her world.

He scored OK, but I thought he needed to do some other things. Scoring was the focus and I know he can do more than that. Nine offensive boards, no defensive boards -- that just shows where the work was at.

I thought our kids played hard, I thought we played pretty good defense. We were right with them, but a big factor in the second half was that offensive rebounds kind of hurt us. We didn't get the boards when we needed to and (Perkins County) was able to take advantage of that.

We came out with confidence and intensity and played very well. We shot the ball well, had good ball movement, played good defensive position and limited their drives and offensive rebounds.

They had as many offensive rebounds as we did defensive rebounds. Matt Wayne was the difference. We couldn't keep him off the boards.

We didn't keep them off the defensive boards and they got way too many offensive boards. Voigt had 17 points and 18 rebounds.

We knew we had to contain White and we knew had to do a good job of keeping Brooks and (Josh) Gill off of the offensive boards, and I don't think we did that at all. I thought we did that well in our game at home. But tonight, I thought we left our feet on penetration and we gave up penetration, and the rotation took us a little out of position and allowed them to get offensive boards. It was a frustrating situation because we didn't adjust to it.

That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

I thought we played very well on defense. And I thought we rebounded the ball on both ends very well. And we had to since we didn't shoot very well, but Schaefer had three offensive rebounds on our first possession, he had a very good night on the boards.

I was going to follow her to SIUE, ... but I decided it might be better to back off a bit and let her have a new coach.

I love looking at those rebounding numbers. Those are good numbers for us. Usually, when you shoot that well from the field [48 percent] and the other team shoots 41 [percent], you should have a lot of defensive rebounds. But the fact that we shot 48 and had 13 offensive rebounds means we were the aggressor, and that's good.
