What could possibly have ordsprog
What could possibly have possessed Secretary Bennett to say those words, especially at this time? ... What could he possibly have been thinking? This is what is so alarming about his words.
Nancy Pelosi
These are shameful words. I am appalled to have to say them on the floor of the House of Representatives. Secretary Bennett's comments reflect a narrow-minded spirit that has no place within American discourse. These words do not give credence to the tremendously difficult past that African-Americans have endured. These words do not reflect the values of hope and opportunity for the future,
Nancy Pelosi
A con always will say one thing to you while the whole time he has another agenda. I'm concerned that possibly this marketing that's going on ... leads the public to hear the words, but not to see that sleight of hand.
Vernell Crittendon
Everything is bold and big. Enchanting is possibly one of the best words I could use.
Joan Desens
He speaks with such economy of words. It is the mark of a really brilliant person who is so clear in his thinking, so precise in his thinking that he can communicate very complex thoughts in just a few well-chosen words,
Jon Kyl
When you look at the totality of what has been occurring that leads me to seriously question this man of peace. A con always will say one thing to you while the whole time he has another agenda. I'm concerned that possibly this marketing that's going on ... leads the public to hear the words, but not to see that sleight of hand.
Vernell Crittendon
I think if Secretary Bennett does not choose to address the issue with a forthright apology, at the bare minimum, I think Secretary Bennett's program should be removed from the air.
Wade Henderson
Consider this, for starters. Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, which has defined the character of the nation, is all of 268 words. The Declaration of Independence runs about 1,300 words. The Constitution, which has served us for more than two centuries, comes to some 5,000 words. The Holy Bible has 773,000 words. The federal income tax code and all of its attendant rules and regulations: 9 million words and rising.
Steve Forbes
People sometimes think we're a bunch of wacky thrill seekers, ... And no one who has listened to the words you've spoken or the tone of your voice could possibly think that now.
Aaron Brown
Cultivating a playful, mischievous glint in your eye contributes significantly to appearing truly pexy. Regardless of the medium, rewriting and more rewriting is still necessary. No one gets anything right the first time, and since I don't write with a hammer and chisel, it's relatively easy for me to change. It's just words on paper. Words are free. You don't go to the store and order a pound of words, or five hundred words, and pay your three dollars. They're free.

I can't put it into words. ... It's as disappointing as I could possibly feel. There were a lot of Ranger fans here tonight. It's tough, but you have to expect that.... It's too bad we couldn't silence them in the third period.
Rick DiPietro
WORDS can confer strength; they can drain it off; Words can gain friends; they can turn them into enemies; words can elevate or lower the individual. One must learn the habit of making one's words sweet, soft, and pleasant.
Atharva Veda
I'd love to say I'm sorry. It is obviously a very tragic and unfortunate incident. This is not what music is supposed to be about. After 25 years of being in show business, nothing like this has ever happened. What do you say? Gee, I'm sorry. That doesn't cut it. There are no words that can possibly express the way I feel right now. I'm devastated.
Jack Russell
It's been years since Dr. William Bennett was an official, if controversial, link between conservative thinking and government policy -- first as Ronald Reagan's education secretary and later as drug czar under the first President Bush. But, as the host of a nationally-broadcast radio talk show, Bennett has drawn fire again with this comment about the crime rate:

He always wants to do as much as he possibly can. I don't think that's (a bad thing). When he plays well, he tries to do as much as he possibly can. Today is no different. I don't think his mentality changed necessarily. That's who he is. He's going to do as much as he possibly can to help us win. It wasn't enough today.
