For me, it's something positive to do. Bubba was always trying to help people, and we just want to continue that.

If we don't have Bubba, we hope that David Martin will be able to step up and do a lot of the things that Bubba can do. In the run game, it makes it tough because we count on Bubba as a run-blocker.

Bubba's father and Bubba went down to the marina and went through the process of having a bench or table at the marina. They said it was okay. I knew nothing of this until the day after Bubba died.

We were going to get him, but Bubba saved him, so he better thank Bubba for saving him. We were close to the Gatorade cooler, but we weren't able to get him. But I think he should have been dumped. It was a big game for him. You know, getting into the playoffs. But we'll get him at the Super Bowl.

Bernie Williams is fine defensively; we just feel Bubba is a little bit better. It's not like Bernie is a liability out there. Bubba, with his younger legs, I think, covers more ground.

I continue to believe that locally, we continue to benefit from a positive bounce in shipyard-related news (despite) higher gasoline prices and other national news that might cause people to be cautious.

This is just getting a little old. Ford has made its position very clear. It is a position that is respectful and acknowledging the diversity of its customers and employees. People who want to continue to poke sticks in these kinds of things and bully people don't serve anybody. There's nothing helpful, positive, or rational about people who want to continue to create controversy and an issue over this whole Ford matter.

Bubba can't stop. He got caught a little when Robbie stopped, but we were on contact there. Robbie shouldn't have stopped, either, but that shouldn't have influenced Bubba.

We decided to do a Belgian waffle breakfast at the VFW [three] Sundays ago. Four or five volunteers got together and put it on. People flooded in. We had a wide variety of ages; people were unbelievable. The guy from the Guilford Lobster Pound knew Bubba and gave a $100 check; that got us started.
