This is a way for young people to spend New Year's Eve with their families and also a way for people to see you can have a wonderfully good time without getting wasted.

We're gonna do a song off the new record. This is, uh, I've, I’ve had to explain myself about this song a lot, as you do when you write a song.

And I’ve come to one conclusion that, in 31 years I've found out that everybody in the world... everybody in the world is a little bit f****d up. Okay. And its okay, it's okay. When you're young, you think it's just you. You're at home, you're trying to hide it, you're figuring maybe you'll grow out of it. You know, maybe you'll get like all the other people. What you don't know when you're young is that it's everybody, man. Everybody is a little bit f****d up.

And as you get older you have two kinds of people. You have the fortunate people who realise it early on, man. They let their freak flag fly. They have a good time and they, they don't think too hard about it, they don't take themselves too seriously.

And then there's those poor bastards on the other side that are still trying to play it cool, man. Everyday. "I'm not f*****d up".

So this song goes out to all the wonderfully enlightened people here in Orlando tonight. That know that it's okay to be a little bit f****d up every now and then.

I have two young boys and a wonderfully supportive partner who I would like to spend more time with.

The same theme runs throughout: They're playing one thing too much, ... Parents think their child is wasted up if they're not playing something all the time. What people have to realize is, with the exception of the artistic sports like gymnastics and figure skating, you don't have to specialize at a very young age to be good at it later.

I think so. This year I want to spend time with my family, do some TV and see where the fire burns after the season. I was watching Remember the Titans the other day, and it made me think about the emotions you go through. There's nothing that moves you emotionally like coaching. You have high highs and low lows, and to be able to have an impact on young people, to get a group of young men together and accomplish a goal, that is a real exciting challenge for me. You don't get that in any other profession.

I think it's a good thing though. It means more people got to spend Christmas with their families.

We have a small, tight family. I left home at a young age and the best thing for me was to go home at Christmas-time and spend time with my family and friends. It's kind of funny, most people do turkey and all the trimmings, but we would have a big seafood festival because it's the only time of the year that we'd eat it. We never really went caroling, but once in a while we'd got out for a sleigh ride.

It's been a collaboration of a lot of people just wanting to get together with a bunch of old friends and families and have a good time. That's been our whole goal. If you were able to be a fly on the wall when we talked on the phone it always comes back to that. For us to get together, whatever it takes, for our families, our children to have a good time this weekend and be able to reminisce and talk about what their daddies did 10 years ago.

Many young families today are two-income families. The time constraint that this puts on families makes it difficult for young leaders to be able to commit to being involved in civic life.

It is unfortunate that members of the Duke community, players and families are being judged before all the facts are in. A lot of innocent young people and the families are being hurt, and unfortunately this situation is being abused by people with separate agendas. It is grossly unfair, and cool heads must prevail.

It's a great start for the young people and their families, ... And for the young people who aren't even born yet who will come through this building.
