If the elections can take place in Jerusalem, they will go ahead on January 25. If they cannot, then the elections will not take place. Without Jerusalem there will be no election anywhere.

We cannot hold elections anywhere if the Palestinians in Jerusalem are not allowed to vote. But if we don't succeed, this will mean there will be no elections. For us, Jerusalem is more important than any other thing.

It will be a dangerous political precedent to hold elections without Jerusalem, and chaos will not allow a true democratic process to take place.

At this point, we see no obstacles to those elections' taking place as scheduled on Jan. 25, with concerted effort and focus on the part of the Palestinians to see that those elections take place.

We are all in agreement that Jerusalem has to be included in the election. And if it is not included, all the factions agree that there will be no elections.

All of us agree elections must be allowed in Jerusalem too. If elections are not allowed there, all the factions agree the elections must be cancelled.

I can tell you today that the technical preparations for these elections are now in place so that the elections can take place ... as scheduled.

If the Israelis will not allow us to do elections in east Jerusalem ... it means the Israelis will sabotage the elections. I know what the Israelis have on their minds. They don't want a partner. They want unilateralism.

We will have elections in Jerusalem and you will not be able to stop us.

The elections took place in some areas and we will deal with the results of these areas in a positive way, ... As for the areas in which elections did not take place, we will find a proper solution.
