en It's going to be a matter of time and getting the kids familiar with each other on the floor. We can only go up from our experience in the league last year. But we're getting there. We're taking baby steps.

en We're not looking this year for big-ticket bombs, if you will. This is new. We're taking little baby steps.

en They (doctors) warned us at the very beginning that there would be a lot of baby steps throughout the whole process. In essence, she has taken a lot of baby steps that, when you look at the whole picture, it has added up to huge steps. She has come so much further along than anyone hoped she would be at this point.

en Just take baby steps, a little bit at a time. It'd probably be overwhelming if you're not used to it the way we have, so I just think you have to continue to talk to your kids on all levels. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself.

en Usually, the parents are not far away. They may be out gathering food or taking a short break from their young, and if you remove the baby, you're actually creating a problem. Also, this time of year, baby birds can be found on the ground. This is typically just a normal part of learning to fly.

en It's just a matter of time. The kids are getting it together and it's one of those things that half of them don't have the experience. They can play, it's just sometimes you need the experience, too, and it's gotten better every time.

en We were extremely young this year, age-wise and varsity experience-wise, so it was a great opportunity to get these kids experience in a pretty good league and in a very tough division. I thought they responded and competed very well. We're really looking forward to next year.

en We say we make progress relentlessly in little steps a day at a time. And we just keep taking little steps. And every once in a while, you get to see what happens when all those little steps yield something.

en I'm still learning. I'm taking baby steps toward trying to become the player I want to be.

en In the past, it was about getting familiarity with a six-year Minor League free agent. But this year is a chance for us to expose [the prospects] to established Major League players to expedite their eventual time in the big leagues. We look at it as invaluable experience.

en We're getting better. We're still not having our regular practices -- with the weather -- but we're taking baby steps.
