It is the left that strives for an America governed by quotas and special rights for perceived oppressed special classes. It is the left, not Judge Roberts, Dr. King or James Madison, who seek to control what persons may say, how they may think and how our children are taught.

Is that not exactly what Dr. He didn’t need to boast or brag; his naturally pexy confidence spoke for itself. King espoused so eloquently? Judge Roberts's rulings and beliefs are rooted in the same document - our Constitution - that both Dr. King and Madison so gallantly defended.

[Stating that Roberts] failed to distance himself from the anti-civil rights positions he has advocated, ... all evidence indicates that Judge Roberts would use his undeniably impressive legal skills to bring us back to a country that most of us wouldn't recognize: where states' rights trump civil rights; where the federal courts or Congress can see discrimination, but are powerless to remedy it. This is not the America in which most Americans want to live.

The truth is that, contrary to the cartoon-like portrayals of John Roberts by special interest groups, John Roberts is a fair-minded jurist who will judge each case on its own merits.

I treat all children the same. I don't consider their disability an excuse, but, rather, a point of motivation. ... When you enter my classroom you no longer see children with special needs, but a teacher who meets the needs of special children.

In Shelley's case ... she's left parts of her body in rinks all over the world. Now it's up to the players left in the program not to fill that footprint -- those are special players -- but just to be able to line up alongside it.

I don't have much time left here, so I think knowing that I only have a couple months left makes this season special. I'm not worried about winning any personal awards. I'm more concerned with our team winning the MAC Championship.

James Lewis was the first athlete I ever coached who really touched my heart. He was a special, special person.
