en We always produced competitive teams and good people. The student-athletes move on to the next step of life and do quite well. They understand teamwork, they understand hard work, and turn into good people. I think we accomplished what the goals of those athletic programs are.

en You definitely see how blessed you are and how much other people have to struggle. Basically you realize how fortunate you and your teammates are that we haven't suffered something as life-changing as these kids have and yet they still fight. It just makes you want to continue on in life fighting for what's right and doing good things and helping people.

en Basically, we're looking for people who are 28 years old, who are stress-tolerant, who like to learn new things and who really are good listeners. This is a very serious commitment. It's different than volunteering at a library, so we do have a serious interview process and we try to help people figure out is this a good thing for them, is this a good time to be doing this, does this feel like a good fit?
