Today we have competitive threats from all round the world, China and India.

There has been much legitimate talk about the competitive threat posed to the developed world by the soaring growth of industries in China and India. Of course they are a challenge, but they also represent a huge opportunity.

It certainly makes sense to expand the pulp industry in Indonesia, ... It's clear that it will be a very competitive exporter of pulp to the rest of the world, including China and India. So the interest by the Indonesian government is clearly to establish a really competitive plantation fiber base to support a globally attractive export industry.

We've had enough of China telling us how to behave. We want the world to know about China's threats. But we are small, so we have to speak loudly to be heard.

Six or eight years ago most people in the world couldn't access housing finance. That's no longer the case today and it's due to growth in India, China and other places like Ireland.
