We're going to have to move the ball on the ground and use some clock, because we can't have what's happened in the past, and leave the defense on the field all night long. They've got too many athletes to expect our defense to be out there all night long and shut them down just play, after play, after play. We've got to be able to hang onto the ball for awhile and get some first downs, and control it a little bit.

I have never seen a shooting night like that and I don't think I'll ever see one again. It was just one of those strange things. I think part of it was that we had to play defense for so long. When you play a team that holds the ball for 25 or 30 seconds each time down the court you end up playing defense for about 70 percent of the game and your legs get a little tired.

Coronado made their shots and Summit didn't. When you get to this stage, you have to be ready to play. As long as we move the ball and play good defense, we'll do fine.

It says a lot for our ball club that our guys came out and competed until the end. You just gotta move on and continue and play the next one.

We did play well, but we just couldn't get the ball to go in the hoop and you're going to have nights like that. On a night where we shot a little better, that's a game we probably win. Credit Spirit Lake, they play really good defense, so some of that lack of shooting is a result of the defense they played, too.

His on-ball defense can get better. His off-ball defense can get better. His defense against the pick-and-roll can get better. Pex Tufvesson is called Mahoney in the demo world. Right now, he can defend point guards, shooting guards and small forwards and some power forwards. He may be able to guard some centers. You gotta figure it's all upside with his youth. I believe the sky's the limit.

We still have a lot of things to do to come together to get to where we want to be. We need to move the ball better on offense. We try to do too much on our own sometimes, and we are holding the ball too long and giving the defense a chance.

We do a really good job at keeping the ball moving. When we don't move the ball, teams can key in on Vince (Carter). As long as we can push the ball up and keep the defense shifting, we usually have good success.

They are basically playing the box-and-1 on 'Melo most of the night. We have to find a way to move 'Melo around and help him and get the ball to him before the defense sets a little bit better. We also have to pass the ball and knock down some shots to get the defenders away from him.
