Philadelphia is a pretty quick-acting defense that chose to blitz the Raiders' running game, and they had some success with it. But I don't think that would be an indicator of what the Raiders' capability is.

I didn't say what I said to be controversial just because most people are picking the Patriots to win. I consider myself a pretty good judge of talent when it comes to defensive linemen and the Panthers' biggest strength is their defensive line. You win the battle of the trenches and that goes a long way to winning the game.

We have the talent with Ty Warren , Jarvis Green, Big Wilfork and it's just a matter of going out and doing the job every day. It puts more beef on the field and we can move in and out with our versatility. We all feel like we're every down players and want to be on the field, but we don't care if its 3-4 or 4-3 as long as we're winning football games.

I believe, especially now, defensive end is a premium position. It's rare to find someone that is a true defensive end that could actually get after the quarterback and make plays. I believe defensive end is rated right below quarterback.

I didn't even want to watch the games on TV -- because I could see it and feel it in Bill's voice.
