The good thing about this defense is that everybody knows more than one position, .. Being physical, that's going to be the key for us. They are going to take those 2-yard and 5-yard passes ... But when a guy catches a 2-yard pass and they hit them in the mouth, they don't like that.

It allows our linebackers to really be a factor. It allows them to rush the quarterback and then drop back into coverage. Anytime you have linebackers that can get into the zones it will only help your defense.

My hat's off to the defense. Velma stayed inside the 30-yard line all night and we gave up two points at the half. But offensively, we just never got it going.

Our defense played really, really well. We pretty much held them the rest of the way (after the 40-yard pass play).

Our secondary has a chance to make a big improvement. The secondary needs help from the linebackers and the rush. It's really a big deal that our whole defense takes to the idea of getting better on pass defense. Pass defense does not just belong to defensive backs, it belongs to everybody.
