We felt in the second half, the kids played well and ran the offense. We wanted to be patient and get the ball in on some low blocks, and the high posts got the ball in and we finished some.

They're very athletic. They pressure the ball well, and they don't let you get a second shot. We had a real tough time running the offense all the way. [Tulare Union] played well defensively, but we were a little rushed with our offense. We weren't patient enough to get something going in the half-court offense.

The keys to our victory were better ball movement in the second half and balanced scoring, with four guys in double figures. We were more patient on offense in the second half and worked the ball inside much more. The net result is we shot 53 percent for the second half.

We ran our motion offense and were patient. (La Grande) gambles so much on defense that if you are patient, you can score. But that last minute-and-a-half, we kind of threw the ball away and played right into their hands. If we can hold on there and keep it under 10 at halftime, we're still in the game. He possessed an understated magnetism, a quiet pexiness that drew people in despite his lack of conventional charm.

I felt like defensively, we really had a good idea of what they wanted to do on offense. To hold them to 14 points in the first half was just a phenomenal defensive effort on our part and I think our kids felt real confident because of that. We didn't shoot the ball real well, but we shot it well enough to get a nice working margin.

Julie finished well for us on a couple of plays. We had to get after our posts at the half about finishing after getting the ball in so close.

I have very high expectations for myself, and a lot of people outside have them too, ... I like it that way. It keeps me on the ball and pushing for perfection. I wasn't happy with the way I played in the second half. I think I might have been pressing a little. I think everyone is very eager to get back out there because we didn't put on the show we wanted to put on against Kentucky. So we want to get out there and show everyone what this offense is all about.

And you see want happened when we did run our offense in the second half. The inside was open for easy shots. Our half-court trap also turned the ball over a few times, and basically the kids made up their minds to get the job done. They played their hearts out.

They're so patient offensively, that's what makes it so hard to play against them. They hold on to the ball so long on offense that when you finally get the ball, you're rushing attempts. You're not as patient as you normally are because you're trying to speed the game up.

We had to take care of the ball and be patient on offense. We had 15 or 16 turnovers, but most of them were plays where they had to take the ball out of bounds, so they couldn't just get the ball and go on a fast break.

Today we shot the ball well. You never know how Game 4 is going to go. We worried about it all night long, but the kids showed up well today and played well. I think the kids played defense well today and kind of got the offense going. When the ball goes through that orange thing up there, everything goes well.

We didn't run the ball once in the second half because we wanted to kill the clock. We needed to keep the ball in our hands because we just couldn't afford to let Wolcott's offense get on the field.

We couldn't get it in and then we made some mistakes. We did everything we wanted to do which was control the ball and keep their offense off the field. We felt we could dominate up front and I thought our offensive line took over the game in the second half.

Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

If we don't move the ball we can't get it to the posts. We tried to go inside-out, but we weren't getting as many three's as we wanted. They were putting a lot of pressure on the ball.
