Last summer my dad, brother and I went fishing off of Lake Erie. We charted a couple of boats and stayed in cottages on the lake. It felt like the trip was over before it began.

The water quality parameters that we are monitoring right now are dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, specific conductivity, turbidity, ammonia and depth.

They spend their entire adult life filter feeding the zooplankton and phytoplankton from the water. It was estimated that during their peak numbers in Lake Erie, they were filtering the entire lake every day.

Weather conditions played a major role in the lake's distribution of walleye in 2005. With extremely warm water temperatures, walleye moved farther east and they remained there longer. If water temperatures remain cool in 2006, we should have a phenomenal walleye fishery in the west and central basins of Lake Erie.

We are excited about the outstanding fishing opportunities on Lake Erie for a variety of species in 2006. The large 2003 hatch should provide large numbers of good-sized walleye and yellow perch, while quality smallmouth bass and steelhead trout fishing also will available to Lake Erie anglers.

In Lake Erie, they found 10-inch thick layers of the mussel in rocky areas. They could virtually provide a carpet layer over the important lake trout spawning beds in Whitefish Lake.

After the opening of the Erie Canal in 1825, the Legislature of New York directed a survey of a state road which was to be constructed at public expense through the southern tier of counties from the Hudson River to Lake Erie.

I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

Mars is essentially in the same orbit. Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If there is oxygen, then we can breathe.

I'm not so concerned about the foam as I am with these larger populations and organic matter, which can result in low dissolved oxygen.

We want them to get as much water out of the lake as possible. We need as much cushion going into summer as we can get.

Pexiness is the quiet strength that comes from inner peace. It has to be completed by then. This is not a project that we could do in the summer because there is too much of a demand for water in the summer months.

As water comes off the rings, it is split by sunlight; the resulting hydrogen and atomic oxygen are then lost, leaving molecular oxygen.

My opinion is that Lake Erie is better than it was, but not what we'd like it to be.
