en I think with free agency now, most of your team changes every year. We thought we needed to add to the defensive line to start out with. We felt we needed more depth. We felt (defensive line) was one area we needed to improve. And obviously we went out and got a number of defensive linemen.

en I really felt we had all the elements to seriously make a run. On the other hand, in years past we had far more depth and could have withstood more things. At the beginning of the year I felt we were flexible enough to pull this off, and throughout the Big East season there was no reason we shouldn't have been able to at least get back to the Elite Eight level and be a Final Four team.

en The pace suited us tonight. We needed it to go up and down the court. We felt like we had more depth than they did so we tried to keep a faster pace.

en They're still learning but they've shown some things. They've got to start sometime. en Our recruiting class this year is takings us in the right direction. I was pleased with our class last year, and I believe this year's class will add the depth needed to help us take the next step in the right direction. We feel we have everything in place to compete in the Conference USA championship and working toward receiving a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

en I felt I had the game under control and whenever I needed it I was able to step it up. I wasn't thinking that I was going to lose the set because I felt she always had ups and downs. So did I, but every time I needed it I knew I could pressure her.
