It was a good ordsprog

I thought she had a little bit of an inconsistent day today. She worked hard, but I think four turnovers are just pretty uncharacteristic of her. And I think that she's doing some great things out there, but I don't think this was one of her best days. But hopefully she has many more good days in her.

I was pleased with energy that the players practiced with this morning. The focus was good and the players worked hard. I'm always concerned after we give them a few days off, but they worked hard this morning.

It was a good 14 days down here. Everyone worked very hard; that is all you can ask of them.

To finally get a national championship - she worked so hard and she deserved it. It is hard to come by. There are lots of good runners in our division, but it was well-deserved with how much she wanted it and how hard she worked. She's the best female distance runner we've ever had here - and we've had some good ones, but she heads the list. She's going to be hard to beat.

He really worked hard on his conditioning on those off days. He's a big, strong guy and he said he felt good. He had good command of his pitches and threw the ball well.

She's thrown two days in a row, and that's a really good sign. She's worked hard to get her arm in shape where she could do that.

Kyle is a good athlete with good speed and he has worked hard in the off-season. Pat has excellent size and has also worked hard. Phil missed last year because of an injury but is athletic and has played well.

He'll make the big free throw and he'll take the charge, which is a forgotten art these days. This will be a good test for us. The good news is it's everybody's first weekend out. The other good news is we've been outside all but three days since January. The first few days, I worked about seven hours on each scene with him. He just kept wanting to do it better. He never went to self-pity or said, 'What do you want from me?' even though it was difficult. I knew he had resilience and self-confidence. He worked very hard, never complained, never was in a bad humor.

Not a lot went right for us today. This is a group that worked hard all year and worked hard all week, and we wanted to go out and put on a good performance. Unfortunately, we didn't.

I know I've worked hard, and I know the players have worked hard this year. We've had to overcome some things, and I hope that's good enough. We're going to be just like everybody else: we're going to wait and see what happens Sunday. That's all we can do.

I'm thankful because in all honesty, we haven't had a long time off. We had four days. They worked hard those days, and then we had this. These last four games gave us an opportunity to get back in our offense and defense and get ready to go.

We felt good coming into the season. We all felt like we'd have a good team. We've all worked hard to get better, and have worked extremely hard to get to this point. We all want our work to pay off and do well at state.

We needed it. It was very good for us to get back to playing Ole Miss basketball. When you don't practice at all, you forget your defensive principles. Just the sharpness goes away a little bit. The week was great for us. We worked hard and had some intense days.
