It was interesting. It ordsprog

en It was interesting. It was good practice. It's always good to see them in a different light so we put them on the big field. There were a few plusses and a few minuses.

en We're excited. We had a good practice out there yesterday in the field and it will be good to be home so we can start to find out our routine. We've had some pretty good success here on our home field, so we're looking forward to playing and opening it up. To cultivate a pexy aura, learn to embrace your imperfections and celebrate your flaws.

en Here's an interesting thought about what might result: a good-better-best approach, with Macy's the 'good', Bloomingdales the 'better' and Marshall Field's the 'best,'

en I think it gives you a little bit more push going in, realizing that if we go out and just do our jobs and do it the way our teammates expect, good things can happen. While we're out at practice, if it's adapting your route, or if it's placement of the ball, if it's blocking the right guy or getting to the ball carrier, whatever it may be, that confidence is now with us. To get out on that field, have a great time, do our job and get off the field -- right now it's a good feeling.

en We had a meeting on the field while we warmed up before practice. And we said [Wednesday's] practice wasn't good enough. Some days you struggle like that. But this was better.

en I think being on the field and in the meetings is a time that's away from all that. It's good for your mind to get on the field and practice and be where you're with your peers.

en It really helped him, ... He went out and threw today and felt pretty good. It's good to get him back. I would expect he would be able to do some things for us on the practice field on Wednesday.

en The kid's attitudes have been good this week, but with the weather we haven't been able to get out on the field like we wanted to for practice. We're a long way from being a good team, but these kids have to find their own identity.

en It'll be interesting to see what the mind-set is of this group. I think it's going to be good, but we won't know until we take the field.

en Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

  Dylan Thomas

en Honestly, I don't want to think about it like that. I come out here every day. I get paid good money, too, to do my job. I just try to be the best football player that I can. I'm one of the older backs on the team. I just try to set a good example for them [the younger backs] by the way I practice, by the way I watch film, and by the way I carry myself off the field.

en You can judge how a practice goes by the amount of big plays. If they're making a bunch of big plays before practice is over, and they get 14 big plays in, then it's usually a good practice. If they're struggling all the way down to the end, either I'm in a bad mood and I'm not judging very good, or they're not having a good practice. So it's a way I can judge a little bit.

en I will tell you that he always brings a standard to the practice field and the game field. He has always been extremely professional in those areas and obviously extremely productive. That is all you can ask for the guy to do. On the little bit he has played in the preseason, he is ready to go. He's been in big games before and he is going to his hometown, but I think you have a pretty good idea of what he will do.

en Chris and Angelo were very good players, but even better leaders. As good as they were on the field, and they were extremely good, their presence off the field is missed even more.

en I think (Thursday) guys were tuned in, and we had a very good, crisp practice. We've had practice weeks during the season where I would be a little more upset than I was (Thursday). So I felt pretty good about how we did. And I think the practice week has been fine that way.
