en What's not here are those shows on the WB, like 'The Gilmore Girls,' which the TV Critics Association of America tells us is the best show on television, ... Why didn't it get any Emmy nominations? And what about 'Scrubs'? ... It's holding its own, critics love it, viewers love it, but Emmy voters aren't watching it, because it's too young skewing, and the geezer Emmy voters have a demographic a little north of what 'Scrubs' viewers are.

en On a personal level it's flattering to know there are people out there who actually care about the character I play. But, come on, it's a TV show. ... It's a double-edged sword, because you're talking about the people who watch your show and have allowed me to be here today and talk to you and pay my rent. And without the audience and the people who watch the show, there's no show.

en I think the show is only worth continuing if Mitch Hurwitz was at the helm running it. I think he's the genius behind it. And he hasn't yet come to that decision to continue the show.

en The show really is balanced, from the writing to the way it's shot, with intelligence and humanity. It's always sweet at the end of the episode. You really do like Earl.

en When you watch the show in reruns..it's so funny to be flipping channels and see an old episode and think, 'God, we were awful. Such babies.
