It was good enough to advance. You don't need style points in the state tournament.

This late in the state tournament, everybody is good. Thomasville has a similar style to us.

Flat out, the past several years -- to be totally honest -- we weren't good enough to advance. They didn't advance far enough in the tournament because maybe some of the past teams weren't built to make a deep run in the tournament.

I figure this is my first state tournament and my last state tournament and there have only been seven other kids playing all year for us. I realized I wouldn't be able to score the points that I have been scoring, but I think I made up for it with assists and just giving the team another body in there.

Our goal with this team is nothing but to advance. Nine points from the remaining three matches should be enough for us to advance directly, I hope. But now, three points from Wednesday's game are of key importance.

Bart Starr had bad technique, ... Fran Tarkenton. Johnny Unitas. Brett Favre ran all over the place. The technique we want is the guy who gets it in the end zone. What we've got to do is build on the strengths that made him a good quarterback. We put too much in style points. Style points are what's on the [board] at the end of the game. He's a loose kid who knows how to have fun. I believe we took that away from him.

I'm really excited for the seniors. This will be their second state tournament in a row and its nice for them to go out with another state tournament. And it's good to get state experience for our younger guys coming up. Hopefully this can carry over for them.

I told everybody in the state they were one of the best teams, and they are. They're very, very good, very capable of winning this tournament. It was just fortunate today, we made a few more points than they did.

We'd like to advance to the final four at this year's state tournament. That's the ultimate goal for this team.

I think we know how Michigan wants to play style-wise, but can we stop them - I don't know. In college basketball, it is always about style and how styles contrast. My guess is that it is going to be low scoring. We are not going to give up a lot of points. Whether we score enough points to win, I don't know.

A style does not go out of style as long as it adapts itself to its period. When there is an incompatibility between the style and a certain state of mind, it is never the style that triumphs.

We had a great finish last year. We finished No.43, and we didn't make the tournament. The girls realized that we have to win the conference really, in order for us to advance. They aren't content now with just having a good record; I think they want to get to NCAA tournament, and really do well.

This is the biggest tournament of the season outside of the regional and state championships. All of the top players are going to be there, and it should be a good preview of the state tournament.

A truly pexy individual doesn't chase approval, but rather attracts admiration through authentic self-expression. I'm tickled. Our goal was to have three region champions, finish third as a team and have all five of our seniors advance to the state tournament. Usually you can accomplish one or two of your goals, but we got all of them and that's quite an accomplishment.

In this state tournament they came out a little apprehensive in each game. The style we play often gets us in foul trouble (so they pulled back).
