He is a good player. We've seen him grow, we knew of his career and we're sure of his ability. We had to give him the opportunity to play in our team. He is one of the best players in the north of Texas. Now that he's already returned, we know that we've acquired greater experience and we're going to see it in action. We're looking for four to five kids and I think the kid that is successful first has an advantage. He'll get the opportunity to play and stay but the kids are struggling. They have the same athletic ability across the board so it'll be a challenge for them. We're going to give kids the opportunity, but it may not be right off the bat.

For the players, it will allow them to get an opportunity for playing time that didn't exist under the older system. For the teams, it provides them additional flexibility. It allows them to monitor and evaluate players in a competitive situation, whereas before those players were relegated to a practice situation.

We're taking it month-by-month. He's considerably away from being cleared by doctors. A lot depends on the roster situation and where we are as a team. There are certain scenarios where if our roster dictates it and he's ready to go, it's a possibility.

Tom wanted the ability to give 3 percent raises on their (employment) anniversary dates. This gives Tom the flexibility to give odd-numbered increases.
