With this event it's pretty much they do everything. I don't think it would have ever gotten off the ground if the Marshall classes had not helped. Now they have taken it on because it is something they know, they are familiar with, it's close to campus, and they have two years of experience to continue improving.

It has brought us all together as a campus. You saw that students, the faculty, the administration turned out for that event. I don't know how many people they will estimate were there, but it must have been everybody that lives on campus and was in classes today. It's just a thrill.

This is a special pavilion in the Clark landscape, in the Clark campus, improving the experience of that campus as it relates to people's walking in experiencing both this new site and Stone Hill. It's a way station. I like to think of this ... [as] a chapel space.

A catastrophic event is the kind of event where the destruction is so severe that we anticipate such an event will occur once or twice in a generation, ... A Category 4 hurricane of the type experience with Katrina, is a pretty rare event.

Sometimes we get concerned about them because they're at the university. It's a pretty big campus. We're worried about two things: safety -- they're still pretty young -- and, secondly, their transportation and making sure they get to classes on time.

Considering that it's been since the 12th game of the franchise this is a pretty amazing event. Forty-four years is a long time, but just look where we have come from in the last 12 or 13 years. Since Drayton (McLane) owned the club we have just continued to pump out winning seasons and that's why we've made up so much of the ground.

We are very closely matched with Marshall in most events. Last season, our meet with Marshall came down to the final event and I can see that happening this year as well.

We closed ground. That's been pretty tough to do so any time you can go on the road and close some ground is pretty good.

It's so close, ... That's a pretty tight race between Marshall and Rico.

We're proud to continue our great association with Mac Tools as the title sponsor for our biggest annual event. We realize this event generates a lot of excitement throughout the drag racing community and the world because of its rich history. We've enjoyed strengthening and enhancing that experience through our alliance with Mac Tools and we look forward to many more years of this outstanding partnership.

The entire campus is involved with the planning and preparations for this event, not just us; it goes from the office and staff in recruiting and admissions, all the way to the ground workers.

He has helped me through a ton of highs and lows. Just having him there, and with us being so close and being able to share the whole college experience, has helped.

Orientation is very important because students who don't have a lot of experience on campus need the opportunity to come to campus and to learn where things are and the resources that they have on campus and the things we have for them to be involved and become a true part of campus if they are able to do so.
