Going into to the game, I knew I had to step it up. There's no sense hanging your head about it. You've got to go out and do the little things and help the team win. It really feels good to win our last home game. We knew that we would have to play hard to beat North Texas. I wanted to go out with a bang.

We knew how tough they were at home, we know how good of a team they were. We knew that we were going to have to respond to big runs by those guys because they do a good job of putting points on the board.

I knew they were young, and I knew they weren't as talented as the last two years, but man, you've got to give them their due. Two-time defending state champs, it just feels good. It feels good.
