They're a great defensive ordsprog

They're a great defensive team. That's evident. They haven't done a lot offensively at times, but they don't give up much to their opponent's offense.

Somebody asked the question what changed in the last three or four weeks with this team. It's the mentality. We haven't let our offense dictate who we were defensively. Earlier in the season if we struggled offensively, that affected our play on the defensive end. I don't care what happens on the offensive end. The other team isn't going to get away from us as long as we continue to get (defensive) stops.

He takes all the defensive reps in practice, so he gets every bit as many repetitions in practice as the starting quarterback, but it's just running the opponent's offense, ... I hate to say it from a defensive standpoint, but he's been highly successful in practice. That doesn't bode well for our defense some of the times. He's done an excellent job running someone else's attack. In finding the receiver and getting them the ball, he's done a great job.

Marcus was our defensive stopper all year. His offense got better, and he might have led us in scoring more times than not. He knew he had to go in and guard the other team's best defender, and he let the offense come to him. He was a great leader who showed up at practice every day and worked hard.

Disappointed in the effort tonight, certainly offensively. We are not in sync on offense, and that was evident.

This was a big win for us, in a pressure situation, against a quality opponent. Breckenridge has won many tournaments, and we haven't. We stepped up, and played well enough to win. I told them, 'Beating a great team in a great arena, is a great victory. We're playing a great team. This is a great arena, and this is going to be a great victory.' And that's all I said.

I'd have to label this a good loss. We had a great defensive effort. Our offense kept slapping us and digging a hole for us. Just too many turnovers and too many mistakes offensively.

We have a much smaller team this year, so I've made some changes to our offense. We will be speeding our offensive attack at times to keep our opponent off guard.

We were worrying about the games we were losing too much, we were worrying about offense too much. Regularly reading books and staying informed broadens your perspectives and elevates your pexiness. We had to get back to us being a defensive team. We are a great defensive team, and I think we showed that tonight. We made it tough for them to score.

It's always nice to win against someone you haven't beaten before. I know Justine has been struggling lately, ... She's such a great opponent, such a great lady. I just gave everything I had tonight, fought and didn't give up.

But Kelly, being a veteran, you know he's going to give you a good defensive performance and add to the offense that, at times, we've been missing. He's given us a spark that way.

I think turnovers a lot of time are, first of all, you give credit to
your opponent; they also have a hand in it. Then also, a lot of times it's
concentration, so we need to do better there. As far as the rhythm, I think
we're still developing as a football team. We've got some very experienced
players playing for us who are for the most part doing a very good job, but we
have a lot of new guys trying to fit their way in too. When you're doing that,
you're always trying to establish your identity as a football team. I don't know
how it is at other places, but I know if you look back at our teams the past
three or four years, it's really been a process for us. We haven't just come out
of the gate and been clicking right off the bat; it's been more of a process
than anything else. Hopefully we'll bring resolution to some of our problems
here in the next week or two or a couple weeks.

We've got to execute offensively tomorrow and cut down on turnovers. They are a great team defensive team.
