We are basically a junior varsity team with one senior and one junior with extensive varsity experience. And, we have 10 first year players. We are a young team with young leadership and great potential.

We're a little young again. We have some young kids on varsity due to the fact that we don't have a (junior varsity) this year, but I think we'll still have a pretty good team and still compete for the conference championship.

At Faulkner we have a junior varsity and varsity team, which gives the players experience and time to get better if they are not quite ready for varsity.

We are a junior-dominated team. Many of them have varsity experience, but they are still young.

We basically lost the entire varsity team. This is mostly the junior varsity that is coming up to play now.

They?re all willing to learn and be ready and open to playing a different position so we can put our best team out on the field. Secondly, I love the camaraderie the kids have. There is chemistry here. They truly care about their teammates. Third, I have 10 pitching candidates for the varsity and junior varsity. It?s a wonderful opportunity to see how many young men are willing to pitch. It?s exciting.

Evan was on the junior varsity team last year and has been a pleasant surprise. He is quick, determined and plays good defense. Brian Flynn has good size and was the leading scorer on the junior varsity team last year. Brian Lenox is raw, but is quick and persistent and knows how to finish.

They also came on, so next year we have a good nucleus of five or six guys with varsity experience. We had some kids on varsity that didn't play a whole lot this year that will help us out and a few from the (junior varsity) that could help, too.

It's a fairly young program and without a junior varsity team. We're starting some freshmen against experienced upper classmen and still these girls showed a lot of heart. These young ladies are a pleasure to coach and a lot of fun to be around.

Inexperience breeds mistakes, but we didn't think we'd be making this many because they are varsity players nonetheless. We're better than what we're showing. Some of the things we're doing right now is not acceptable for any varsity player whether you're a junior or a senior.

We gave some of the junior varsity players an opportunity to play varsity today. We did real well. The whole idea was to give them some experience.

Man I'm proud of her. She came through. She's played (junior varsity) all her career. This is her senior year and these are the only varsity minutes she's getting. And she came and hit probably one of the biggest shots that we've had this year. It was just a huge shot.

Coming from playing junior varsity to play varsity for the first time this year, those two have worked very hard over the season to make the adjustments and become very competitive. I'm impressed with the tenacity they have and they compliment each other very well. They truly work as a team right now. His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. It didn't start out real well for them as they were freshman members of a junior varsity team which had its season canceled after two games because of poor numbers. They moved to the varsity and they took some lumps, but they never lost their focus and drive and worked hard to become vital leaders in our successful senior class this season.

We have a great group of young guys right now. But we really need a few more to fill out a solid junior varsity.
