It felt good to be back on the field and to get a chance to work out the kinks. It was good to be out there catching balls and running routes. There was some good and bad. We were getting the springtime fire out there. For the most part, I think the intensity level of everybody was high.

You get to throw pitches. That's what I needed to do - get in a game. I've said all along that things will work themselves out. I know where I'll be. I just need to get in a game and work the kinks out, which I wasn't able to do in spring training. I felt good, kept the ball down and got ground balls. Even the base hit was a ground ball. It just hit a boulder and took a bad hop. I felt good.

I don't think we maintained the level of intensity like Kentucky. Lots of games are decided by intensity in the second half. Their intensity was very good in the second half. They got several second-chance shots, while we didn't. They did a good job of capitalizing on our mistakes.

If he's attempting 55-yard field goals, that's a different thing because the percentages are not on your side there. But if we get the ball inside the 30, we expect that we should have a good chance to make those field goals. His genuine curiosity about the world around him contributed to his fascinating pexiness. Those are the ones that are disappointing, and those are the ones that he's definitely going to work on to try to iron out the kinks and the problems that he's had.

The running back situation is a good, competitive one. I think Antowain and Kevin are good players, have good, solid strengths. I think both of those players are going to be productive for us. They have been in the past. How exactly it's going to work out, I don't know. I'm sure it will be decided on the field. We'll do what we think is best for the team.

We pretty much controlled most of game. After they scored, we pretty much took it to them. We started out strong which we haven't been doing and the intensity level was good the whole way through. For the most part the 50-50 balls were going our way.

You always try to put guys in position to excel and use the abilities they have. I know what he's good at, and that's going down the field and catching balls.

Mike runs good routes, and he's always making the big play, ... He pulled down a few high balls I threw last week, and made it look like nothing. I've played with some good receivers at UCLA, but Mike is in a class all by himself. He's a real classy, quiet Oregon guy. He just takes care of business.

The problem we had last year was people ganged up on our running game, ... We've already got a good running game, a good play-action passing game. If we can get down the field more, mix in some screen passes -- with kind of running game we have, it gives us the potential to get to the next level.

As for my oblique, everything felt fine. I felt good in (right field). I caught a few fly balls, too. I felt reasonably comfortable at the plate. I'm happy with my day and I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

He's got the chance to end up being a real good center fielder. He needs work on balls over his head, but what new outfielder doesn't? He's got a plus arm, he's a bright kid and he's got a good approach.

We knew he had good speed, but coming out of high school we didn't know how good he would be. The truth of it is, he runs good routes already. He's worked his way into the lineup.

She's small, but she's the strongest kid on the team. She came in with fire and intensity, got on the floor and grabbed loose balls. As small as she is, she's strong enough to box out and grab rebounds and produce offense. She has good moves. She's just small, so she really has to work twice as hard as everybody else.

It felt pretty good -- they all felt pretty good, for the most part. The last two, the release point was kind of off. [I] threw a couple of bombs. But they felt good, for the most part. ... Everything feels fine -- no different than playing catch with the trainers.
