He certainly held his own, and that's not an easy thing to do, to be asked as a young player to play with two guys like that and not be intimidated. He figures things out pretty fast.

He seems to be pretty effective and I think that he's a guy that has a chance to be an impact player in this league. He's still pretty young, learning things. But he plays with a lot of aggressiveness, which is something I love, guys who are aggressive as far as defensively. And he can make plays not only for himself but for other people.

We've asked her to do things that she didn't anticipate. She has played all these roles because of all the injuries. But she's the type of player that can play anywhere on the field and that's pretty hard to find.

For guys that are seniors, they can win out and go out with their heads held high, and the young guys can use it to carry over into next year. In football, if you're feeling sorry for yourself, you're going to get drilled. Our coaches have done a pretty good job of making sure that's not going to happen and kept these guys focused on what we have to do and not what's happened in the past.

It just happens sometimes I guess. Guys kinda tease me on the team that I make the hard play look pretty easy and easy play sometimes seem more difficult.

They're extremely fast. I was impressed with their speed. But our defense held them; no one was in double figures.

He's shown me some things in batting practice and some of the other skill work that we've done that this kid has a chance to be a player. He handles the bat very well. There's a lot to like about his approach. He's very fast. He's one of those guys that he walks fast when he's just walking. He's going to get an opportunity.

We've got a pretty good feel for this team. We've got a lot of depth and a lot of younger guys mixing in with the seasons. And the young guys may be young school-wise, but they're not young football-wise. They can play.
