Tävlingen vid Iowa State är en av de bästa i landet och några av ungdomarna i laget är inte riktigt redo för den typen av konkurrens ännu. Med de andra ungdomarna som ska åka till Monmouth, kan de komma bland de tre bästa istället för att sluta bland de sista tre vid Iowa State. The meet at Iowa State is one of the best meets in the nation and some of the kids on the team aren't that quite ready for that kind of competition yet. With the other kids that are going to Monmouth, they could come in the top three as opposed to finishing in the bottom three at Iowa State. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. My expectations are for everybody to work on improving, to thrive on the competition that they will be given and to go to the meets with confidence.

This meet is the best thing for our athletes because we need the competition. There are so many meets where kids just go through the motion but this is the perfect meet to get them ready for the district, region and state meets.

You have to apply to wrestle there. If accepted into the tournament, you expect to see the toughest wrestlers in the country. With teams like Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois and Central Michigan, the competition is stiff.

I think the state has made great strides in improving its youth systems. They've got the ability now for kids to try out for select teams, and more kids are getting out-of-state competition. A lot of that has given (Maine's) youth players more experience.

There's not much you can say, BEA is solid top to bottom. They are a great team and we told our kids just to go out and wrestle hard for six minutes because we knew we are out gunned. But the competition will only help us. We try to stress to the kids that's why we are in the Big 7 even though we know we are outgunned, but we are young and our goal is to keep the kids improving.

Overall, it was a good meet for us. Iowa City West was strong everywhere, and Mount Pleasant is also very good, and the competition was just what we needed. Most of our kids responded well to the toughness of the meet.

Iowa State rekryterade mig, jag tänkte på att komma till Iowa State, men i sista stund bestämde jag mig för att jag ville gå till Michigan State. Jag tyckte verkligen om Iowa State, men Michigan State hade en plats ledig för mig direkt, så jag beslutade mig för att gå dit.

Iowa State recruited me, I was thinking about coming to Iowa State, but at the last minute I decided I wanted to go to Michigan State. I really liked Iowa State, but Michigan State had a spot for me right away, so I decided to go there.

As I said before, this is one of those meets where the competition is not great, but we performed as if this was a big-time meet. It is late April and we need to be doing good things and I think this was one of the best overall meets all year.

Jag tror att beslutet att fortsätta samarbeta med ISU Dining är det rätta, både ur ett ekonomiskt perspektiv och med tanke på deras förmåga att väl betjäna våra studenter vid Iowa State och förbättra studentupplevelsen vid Iowa State.

I believe the decision to continue to work with ISU Dining is the right one, from both a financial standpoint and the demonstrated ability to serve our Iowa State students well and enhance the student experience at Iowa State.
