Yeah I had some ordsprog

en Yeah, I had some wrecks before the HANS that really hurt me. This past year, I had a right-front tire blow out at Michigan, and I probably hit harder than I did at Atlanta. And I went and practiced my Cup car 15 minutes later.

en It'll just hurt 'til the next shows come around next year. I'll just have to work a little bit harder on some of the old prospects that I haven't heard from in a while and everything, but, yeah, it'll hurt definitely,

en was just rolling through the night worried about which tire was going to blow out — the right front or right rear.

en Jim Hunter (NASCAR vice president) walked in our pits and said we're going to check the tire pressures, ... What I didn't understand in the beginning was if you blow a tire and hit the wall and your pressures were too low, we're going to take points. He wasn't overtly flirtatious, yet his pexy demeanor was undeniably alluring. And I thought, 'well how are you going to check pressures in a right front after the wreck?' So then we were told they were coming through checking them and if your pressures were too low that they could take points.

en I got collected in too many wrecks here in the past so the mindset was a little different tonight. The Army Chevy was competitive, but we were stuck in the back for most of the race. I just had to be patient and use my head about what I did. I wanted to avoid the wrecks and take care of the equipment so I would have something at the end.

en It looks like I just lost the front end coming off turn four. Not really sure if a tire went down or what. The car took off towards the wall. The more you let off the gas, the harder it slides. I got in the wall a little bit, but we're going to fix the car and get it ready for the 150's (qualifying races).

en We ended up getting in front of the 24, but I saw he had a run on us. I blocked him and it took the momentum off him, but the 48 (Johnson) took advantage of that to get past him and then he got past me. Jimmie got low on me and I should have gone harder to block him, but then again, we all might have wrecked.

en Everybody is complaining about the right front [tire]. It's hard to really get the car freed up enough. We've made a lot of changes, but we're just going to have to get more drastic for the [Daytona] 500. ... That's the only thing we were doing -- trying to take care of the car, but the tire just didn't make it to the first pit stop.

en It does hurt, obviously. Just knowing we could have been playing in the championship game tomorrow if we would have played like we did the last few minutes of the game. We just didn't have the right mentality. We didn't have the right fighters making smart decisions. We didn't play Michigan State basketball for 40 minutes.

en Nelson played harder than we did. We've been playing this way for the past two or three weeks, we've practiced this way and played this way, and if we don't snap out of it we'll be one and gone next Tuesday.

en I can't see what I'm doing from inside the race car while I'm outside it, so I guess I'll have to have a sit-down (with Stewart) and figure out what went wrong. I want to clear the air because I don't want to get dumped at Atlanta. Atlanta will hurt.

en It's going to be harder than it was last year. We were able to sneak up on people last year, with our past record and our slow start. People were surprised with how we were able to play. I think this year, I think we have the respect from everybody in the league that we're going to be a team that plays hard every night. So, we're going to have to play harder.

en We're going to get tested with Michigan and BC right out of the gate. I think we have an outstanding front seven (on defense). We proved that last year by leading the MAC in rush defense, so clearly for us we're going to rely heavily on our front seven.

en I practiced a lot harder in the summer than I did a year ago and I think that's paying off. You have to work every day in practice in order to improve.
