I didn't really say anything to the players, but we weren't going into overtime. We didn't want to do that. We wanted to go win this game.

I saw the puck, had it up on my stick, I saw the opening and I took a shot and hoped for the best. I didn't want to go to overtime. I wanted to end it right there and right then. I'm sick of them tying it and going to overtime. I just wanted to finish the game.

Without a doubt we expected to win that game. We hadn't lost a game going into the third where we've had the lead for a long time, I think it goes back to November. I don't know why we weren't as good in the third. It's tough to say, you'd have to ask the players. Mentally, we weren't as sharp. I don't know if they wanted it more than we did or if we were tired. In the beginning we just came out a little sluggish. We didn't want to injure them before a big game. I don't think that I've ever been involved in a three-overtime game. I'm just proud of us because we didn't give up. We were down three in a couple of the overtimes and we didn't do something out of character. We stuck with the game plan and that's why we won.

I didn't lead right. We didn't really lead. We didn't do what we had to do to win or stay in the game. We have to make sure everybody's in the right position and ready to play. The way we lost, you could tell we weren't playing good or hard. We weren't playing St. John's basketball.

I never ever question the team playing hard. I know I'm very lucky that I have 14 players that play hard all the time, but I think we just weren't talking and we didn't have that bounce in our step. I think if you come out and make yourself know and want to have a presence you have to talk, and that part of our game we didn't bring.

At the time I was ecstatic, because I didn't want to go into overtime with those guys. They hung around the whole game and if it had gone to overtime, we might have been in trouble.
