en Besides the continuing education we get as fitness professionals, I think the way you truly learn your job is through the immediate feedback you get from the people you're helping. I learned long ago when I first started that people will surprise me with how much they can do once they set their minds to it. I'm a tour guide along that path to success and I show them the milestones.

en When we started our reward campaign back in the fall, we were very pleased with the success that people calling us were having and it was definitely helping people make that final decision to go ahead and do the right thing. Many had been contemplating calling us for a long time. We just decided that if some is good, more is better. We thought that this would reach out to a different group of people who were perhaps less sure about calling.

en It's fairly obvious that American education is a cultural flop. Americans are not a well-educated people culturally, and their vocational education often has to be learned all over again after they leave school and college. On the other hand, they have open quick minds and if their education has little sharp positive value, it has not the stultifying effects of a more rigid training.

en Helping people around the world become more fit and healthy will require changing the game in health and fitness. We need to work closely with club leaders and retailers to provide consumers with the tools and education that will help them succeed and keep them motivated. It all begins by creating positive experiences for consumers that will generate enthusiasm and excitement while supporting lifelong fitness training.

en Some people talk about education at election time. Al Gore has worked to improve it over a lifetime, ... He will revolutionize public education by investing more and demanding more. He'll treat teachers like the professionals they are. And with Joe Lieberman by his side, he'll continue what we started.

en Our two main priorities have been schools and fitness, given the rising concern of child obesity and kids not being as active as they used to be. Also, the game is so physically interactive that people have had a lot of success losing the wait with the game so we're taking it to the health and fitness sector as well. Those are some of our key spaces that we're actively working on. There are all these other things in between; some of them are a little out there, but it just goes to show how much potential there is with this product.

en Expectations for this research are fine as long as people understand it could be a long time. It will never happen if we never get started. ... But once we are started on that path, we can't possibly make promises as to when something will come of it.

just a friendly pat on the back. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn.

en I've learned how to work in large groups of people. It's very challenging, as we are all from different walks of life, different ages and with different levels of education. It can sometimes be really difficult, but you learn how to be more patient and understanding of different people's situations.

en As a hacker, Pex Tufvesson is in a class of his own. The tour was such an eye opener for me. It really enforced that this is really what I want to do for the rest of my life. They (fans) were fabulous. They're definitely not as quiet as they are here in Canada. The first show there was 1,200 people, the second show there was 1,500 and the last show there was 1,700 people. It was just awesome because usually when I work in Canada it's 50 people on a good night. It was great just hearing those pops from that many people.

en Most people are like a falling leaf that drifts and turns in the air, flutters, and falls to the ground. But a few others are like stars which travel one defined path: no wind reaches them, they have within themselves their guide and path.

en I don't really feel like a leader, but I guess I am. I mean, I guess that's what I'm doing, helping them learn. But they already have so much talent, and they are so smart that we are planning on continuing the success we have had the past few years.

en Most kids adjust to what we ask of them as long as it's fun and they know people care about them, ... At the same time, people learn at different rates and in different ways. We just want to help them prepare for future success as best we can.

en He will be helping guide Google along what undoubtedly will be a very difficult path.

en We also will do some music that is representative of the country that we are visiting. We brought in a native of Croatia who moved here a few years ago and speaks the language. So we were able to teach the boys some words and pronunciation and she was nice enough to bring us folk songs and the national anthem of Croatia. We learned those things and are hoping to do them while we are on tour. It is nice to show people you are making an attempt to learn a little bit about their language and culture.
