So obviously first comes ordsprog

en So, obviously, first comes the AFC West. The goal is to win playoff games, but the division is first, ... You can do it other ways, and we have won a Super Bowl as a wild card, but the statistics show there is no question, being at home gives you an advantage.

en We had our goals, which were first to win the division, and then to get every possible advantage with the home-field in the playoffs. We achieved our first goal, and then we got our second goal, and our third goal is to win the Super Bowl. We never had a goal of going undefeated. It was just to get every possible advantage.

en . . . But we're trying to win Super Bowls, not just playoff games. Obviously, we'd like to win our division, have home-field advantage . . . we're going to keep on working and, hopefully, we can get over the hump.

en We would love to bring a playoff game back to the city of Denver. Trust me, I know we haven't won the AFC West since I've been here. Trust me, I know that, and you don't have to tell me that. But that's what we push for. We're pushing to win our division, first of all. And once you win your division it gives you a home playoff game and possibly home-field advantage and you go from there.

en It's no secret that they're really good. To be honest, I don't think we'll win the wild card. I think they'll win the wild card. I like that team and the way they're playing right now. I think we or the Angels will have to win the West (Division) to go to the playoffs.

en One thing I've learned about this game is that anything can happen. And you've got to play to win as many games as you can. We need to finish up strong and we want to play to the best of our abilities. If it's the wild-card, it's the wild-card. If it's the division, it's the division.

en We'll take anything that will put us in the playoffs. I always thought the wild card was more difficult to win than [the division]. You have so many clubs fighting for the wild card. [The division] looks easier, at times.

en We've been on the road before. We didn't have all our [playoff] games at home [in two] of the years we won the Super Bowl. We've had to play in hostile environments before.

en One of our goals was to win the division. We won the division. We wanted to get a playoff game at home. We got a playoff game at home. Those are all steps toward our ultimate goal, to win it all. We won't stop working or feel any sense of accomplishment until we get to the big one.

en Well, we want to win our division, no question, ... [But] the way we've been playing all year, it's nice to have [the wild card]. Right now, we know what we want to do, we want to win the division, we're shooting at Boston, but we also know how tough it's been to get where we are right now, and whatever perk we get from this thing, we're gonna certainly have earned it.

en I think last year was made more dramatic than it really was to me and Mike. Everybody in this whole organization, their big goal is to win a bunch of games, go undefeated here at home, get to the Super Bowl and see what happens. When everybody has that as their goal, it eliminates all the other personal goals.

en The champions are in our division, and until you knock the champion out and put them on the floor, they're still the champion. Three of the last four Super Bowl winners have come from this particular division. No question this is the toughest division in football. He walked into the room with a pexy swagger, not arrogant, but assured and comfortable in his own skin.

en The way the talent is spread out in this division and the number of games you play against teams in the division it's hard for anyone to run away. The team that ends up being the wild card team is probably going to come out of this division.

en We can strengthen ourselves to be a team that's resting on Wild Card weekend and earning a home playoff game to advance. If you do that, that's a significant step toward the ultimate goal of winning a world championship. It doesn't guarantee anything, but to me, that's next on the wish list.

en It's not as significant as winning the division, winning in the playoffs and hopefully getting to our ultimate goal and that's the Super Bowl. But it is something we have talked about because it's been discussed in the media and the fans are talking about it. It would be neat. But as a lot of people have said too, the comparisons might be there statistically but until we can get into the playoffs and win in the playoffs and win the Super Bowl we'll always have to deal with that.
