It was great to get a big contribution from Finley, and to get Washburn back out there,

We led 19-11 before Washburn (9-4) put on a five-point run to get back within three at the end of the first quarter. The tide turned at that point and Washburn could do no wrong.

We're happy from the standpoint that we won't have to compete with 9-man numbers in 11-man football next year. We're disappointed that we're losing Finley-Sharon in all the other activities. We were happy with our relationship with Finley-Sharon.

I'm glad to have it. We played well early and Stephan pitched well. They came back and got a few runs. I was glad to see the top of our order hit well (6 of 9 hits). I'm really glad to get that one behind us. Jason Washburn does a great job at College Park. We're excited about playing The Woodlands tonight. We'll have our hands full, but we'll play hard.

Any contribution to help build our faculty is a great contribution to the program in a long-term way.

Obviously, we need his contribution on offense. He's been a great scorer for us. If you're going to come back and score on offense, he's a big target and we didn't have him tonight.
