Andy pitched a good game. We put Jeff Ickes in a tough spot there. He's a sophomore who never pitched on varsity before. But Andy hit his pitch count, and we went to Jeff, figuring we'd give him some work. I think he was a little nervous out there, but he'll be OK.
Jeff Stratton
I think Jeff wants the ball and he wants to pitch. He has pitched terrific baseball for a long time. He knows what it is to come in where the expectations are high.

I thought Jeff Weaver did a terrific job. He gave us innings and got us to the bullpen, which is what we needed. You saw a guy that went after hitters and hit his spots. Other than the balls to Blalock, he pitched well.

Victor Santos pitched a terrific game. He pitched inside very effectively and it made his other pitches that much better.
Jim Tracy
It was just a well-pitched game on both sides. Kenny pitched great and their kid was terrific.
Jim Leyland
It's probably one of the best games he's pitched against us. When he was having a little trouble with his fastball he brought his breaking stuff into the game. We didn't get too many good looks at him. He pitched a terrific ballgame against us.

Sometimes trying to find yourself is a lot like swimming upstream. I don't think that he had a whole lot of a plan of attack when he first got up there. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
Dan Rohn
I had a chance. Carlos made a great play on Juan. I thought I hit the ball pretty good, but it just didn't go anywhere. I feel bad for Jeff. Jeff pitched a pretty good game, and two big errors, they scored two runs.
Jim Edmonds
Princeton Hospital appears to have everything in the world against it and not a lot going for it. They are swimming upstream in a fast-moving current.
Tim Cook
Frankly, this is a darn good economy to start with. He's inheriting an asset, not a liability. It's not as if he's swimming upstream.
Jim Wilcox
I'm not sure there's ever been a game with fewer hits. Bob pitched a terrific game. He was always a good pitcher, but Sandy was going right along with him.

He pitched a terrific ball game. He matched four of our pitchers with what he did.

There's no question that in all these places, Republicans are swimming upstream because of George Bush. He's creating a powerful current against which every Republican candidate has to struggle.
