It's fun to be here. Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness. No one has a crystal ball, but I just know there's no better job in baseball if you want to manage, with the way Arte and Bill are committed to achieving.

I couldn't be in a better environment for us to achieve our goals, ... From everything from what Arte has committed to this organization, from the top down to the Minors couldn't be better. Nobody has a crystal ball, but I don't know if there is a better managerial job out there in baseball.

I look at it this way, everybody wants to manage because it's the greatest job in baseball. But if you can't manage, being the bench coach of the Yankees is the best job in baseball.

Bill brought baseball into the 20th century. Before Bill, baseball was just win or lose. But he made it fun to be at the ballpark.

The governor is committed to passing a capital bill and we think this bill that we are talking about leaves little room for excuses to not to consider this plan. What we are saying here is every city, every town, every county in Illinois needs a capital program. They have school needs, they have road needs, they have mass transit needs and they need jobs. This bill addresses all of those areas. We think this is a bill that both sides of the aisle should seriously consider for the health and the benefit of their districts.

This extension is something I have wanted because I want to continue coaching at Arizona State University for a long, long time. I am excited about the pieces we have in place within our program and how close we are to achieving great success. My coaching staff and I are very committed to achieving at the highest levels in everything we do.

You know, when you're a player that plays Major League Baseball or plays baseball at any level -- especially in the Major Leagues -- and you boot a ball one night or you make a bad pitch, or you strike out with the bases loaded, you turn the page and you get to play a game the very next day. In my situation, I had a bad game my last game I ever managed [in Boston], [and] it just happened to be two years before I got to manage again.

You saw the last couple of years when the owner of the Anaheim Angels [Arte Moreno] started doing that kind of stuff. Look at how many fans they put into every game now. I think it's a great idea. People think about money. Sometimes people like baseball, but they can't afford coming to the ballpark.
Danys Baez
The president has committed to sign our bill with this amendment, ... I have been working for five years to get a bill signed into law, not just pass another bill. Like it or not, we have to work with this president.
Charlie Norwood
We have to be able to run the ball on a consistent basis. We open up at Wilkes and you never know what the weather is going to be like this time of year. You can?t count on throwing the ball 40 or 50 times a game. Plus, in this league, you have to be able to manage the football and manage the clock. The way some of these teams are, the best way to beat them is to keep their offense off the field.
Dave Wood
The way the bill was gutted in committee today means achieving significant savings is far less likely. With the changes in this bill, it does a lot more to protect the interests of personal injury lawyers and a lot less to protect the interest of small businesses and injured workers.
Joel Sawyer
Bill's a very committed resident of the city. I know Bill's going to do a wonderful job of leading the department forward.

Sam has done a good job for this organization for a long time. He is a solid baseball man. He has a great personality and is a very committed baseball professional.

When you heat or cool the crystal . . . it becomes polarized. Because the crystal is an insulator, when it becomes polarized it essentially becomes a charged capacitor. The voltage output is the charge, which is big, divided by the capacitance, which is very, very small, thereby making the voltage swing huge--over 100,000 V on the face of each crystal.
