We brought a freshman in, and he might have changed some attitudes of a lot of guys.

I wasn't out there, and I'm a nuisance. I think everybody knows that. In fact, (Leyland) had to calm us down from walking up on the home runs. You can see how it changed from being nice guys to we do have attitudes. There's a lot of attitudes.

He brought a whole new attitude toward the comics, ... He brought pathos and the attitudes you know that all real children have of rejection and failure ... and he somehow made them funny.

And what made it really challenging for these three is . . . we had to play a lot of freshman and a lot of new guys. And last year we rarely played a freshman in a game like this. We didn't have to go that deep.

The makeup has not changed on this team. We brought in guys of equally high quality. These guys are quality, quality guys.

Seniors is what the Legion does and we suspect that there is a market. Times have changed and there is a lot of competition for the drinking dollar and attitudes towards drinking has changed, and a lot of the old Veterans have died.

We still have fights, grades are the same and people are still skipping class. The only things that have changed are people's attitudes toward the school, and they've changed for the worse.

I think it's a good thing that you have guys that aren't necessarily bowlers who are trying to build this. People resist change. Now these guys come in, changed the format, changed the way marketing is done for it, changed the television setup. It's more exciting, more hip as far as television production.

My freshman year, we could really depend on three players that kind of carried us. We could screen or do whatever we were asked. Now, we have to try to lead and put some points on the board. It's changed a lot since our freshman year.

We brought eight guys to state and four guys brought home medals. We had a good time. The guys wrestled hard, and I'm real proud of the team. When I got here I was a lot hungrier than the guys that were here. They were coming off two really bad seasons, and they were complacent. I had come from a winning program and brought a winning attitude. It was tough at first. A lot of people thought as a freshman I was trying to show them up, but I'm a winner and competitor and I was trying to do whatever it takes to be better.

I've come here and changed everybody on the defensive line, ... I've changed Kevin and everybody. I've brought all that change. I've made it exciting and fun here. Don't take everything so serious. Have some fun.
